Who is behind the helm
Nobody you can see, on purpose. HELMBORNE is a virtual artist. The helmet never comes off and there is no face under it, because the songs are not about a person.
Why a helmet
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The helm is armor someone else made and handed over. You do not earn it; you put it on. The crack running down it is the point: it is cracked and it still holds.
How a song is made
- People write the words. Every lyric is written and edited by people.
- The words are checked against Scripture, line by line, before anything is recorded. Each song page shows the verses behind each part.
- The music and the voice are made with AI tools. We say so on every page and every post.
What HELMBORNE will never do
- Pretend to be a real person, or show a face.
- Tell a made-up life story or a testimony that never happened.
- Imitate another artist's voice.
- Put a song out without the Scripture check.
- Promise that faith makes you rich, healthy or successful.
- Take a side in party politics. The songs point to Christ.
- Mock another church or denomination.
- Sing romance or anything sexual.
What the songs are about
Who you are in Christ when the mirror says otherwise. Standing firm when it costs something. Grief, doubt and wrestling with God, the way the Psalms do it, not fake happy. The cross, the empty tomb, and the King coming back. Brothers who show up at two in the morning.
If a song helps you, the credit goes up, not to the helm.
